So this will be my last Christmas card for a while and I decided that it would be my very first shaker card. It was made using the gorgeous BoBunny “Blitzen” paper collection & Stampin Up’s white and a green (I cannot remember the colors name – sorry!). The snowflakes were die-cut using the Sizzix die “Snowflakes #3” and the glitter is Martha Stewarts “Crystal Fine”, The greens were die-cut using my TH Alterations “Festive Greenery” die then painted with my “Olive Vine” Silks. I cut out the globe lid on a sheet of Grafix Clear Craft Plastic and crusted the edges using Finnabairs “Frosted” Mica Flakes & Martha Stewarts “Crystal Fine”. On the picture I brushed the snowflakes, snow & lamp with Wink of Stella’s “Clear” brush pen and then used Stampendous White Mica Fragments for inside the globe. The buttons, rub-on and gemstone stickers are all from the BoBunny “Blitzen” collection.
Tip of the Day: When I first thought I was done with the card I realized that I had too much going on in the top left corner. I had a lot of accents there and brightly colored so when you looked at the card it was the only thing you seen. I didn’t want the globe out of focus so I took a bunch of pieces away (blue’s & reds) and left it less busy. When creating a project choose your focal point (for me it is the globe) and be sure to use the rest of the surface as an accent to it ;0)
