“I Love You” Valentine’s Day Card

Hi Everyone, today’s project is a simple but pretty Valentine’s Day card, I was going for an envelope looking style of card. I used no embellishments whatsoever! I wanted to use very little product as a kind of “back to the basics” theme. I’m thinking of starting a series of cards under the motto ‘Getting back to the basics”. Anyhow this card was made using a 12″ x 12″ sheet of Stamping Up! White & Cherry Cobbler paper, a 12″ x 12″ sheet of My Mind’s Eye” DP from the “Kiss & Tell” collection and one of the cardstock cutouts that came with the collection. I used my Spellbinders “Scalloped Circles” die cuts to encircle the cardstock cut out as I wanted it to be the center of focus. I brushed the DP pieces with Stampin Up’s “Pretty In Pink” ink and used their “Cherry Cobbler” to ink the inside sentiment.  Other than that I used glue & pop-up squares. I have filmed the making of the card for my youtube channel as well as the video tutorial of my Gratitude Jar and as soon as the videos are uploaded I will be adding the links to them here on the blog. Who knew making tutorials required so much work, time and editing?!?! Oh man the editing!!!!!!!!!!

Tip of the Day: When trying something new, always have patience with yourself and add in a little humor (trust me, it helps!). You may surprise yourself with what you can accomplish when you give yourself more than a chance & a good hearty laugh ;0)

Until next time, keep smiling & stay crafty my friends :0)
