This card was made in response to a challenge over at splitcoaststampers.com. The card had to be clean and simple and resemble something freezing. My first thoughts went to when I was a kid and I loved to look out our living room window at night after we had a lot of snow. There was a wooded area across the street with snow and ice covered trees and the light pole at the corner of our yard shining on the snow in our front yard made it look blueish and as if someone had placed glitter over everything. It was made using SU! Shimmery White card stock and Night of Navy. I used watercolor paper for the image. The Die cut I have searched for the name of and cannot find it – sorry! I do know it is a Spellbinder die. The ink used is SU! Night of Navy & Whisper White. The embossing powder is SU! Black. The buttons are from a Christmas embellishment pack and I believe it came from Stuff4Crafts. For the glitter I used my Wink of Stella “Clear” pen. The stamp set is by Crafty Individuals.
Tip for the Day: When looking for inspiration for a project, sometimes it’s a good idea to sit down, let your mind wonder and visit the past ;0)
