Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day gift set that I made for Eyelet Outlet to showcase some of their fab products. I have to apologize for my memory lapse regarding my designer paper on today’s project. I know it’s from Stampin Up and several years old but I don’t remember the name :O( I fussy cut the flowers from the DP and I have to say that the bow was easy to prep and difficult to keep together! I used heavy cardstock and I believe for that reason the Tombow liquid glue, E6000 glue and double sided tape just didn’t keep it together so I had to pull out the Krazy Glue!! And after 2.5 hours of fighting with it I tossed it aside and started from scratch with a sheet of printer paper and my glue gun that I forgot I had lol!!!
Stampin Up! 12″ x 12″ “Bravo Burgundy”, “Whisper White” cardstock and a DP I don’t remember the name of, 8 1/2″ x 11″ “Brocade Blue” cardstock . “Always Artichoke”, “Bravo Burgundy” and “Calypso Coral” ink pads, “Decorative Label” Punch. “Curvy Verses” Stamp Set
Eyelet Outlet : Blue Jewel Sticky Back Bling, Champagne Jewel Sticky Back Bling, Blue Glitter Washi Tape
Tip for the day: In the future I would always use a regular sheet of printer paper to make the bow with, or at least a thin sheet of cardstock, Stampin Up! cardstock is very thick and therefore the center of the bow was, making it more difficult for the glue to keep it together. I do suggest that if you insist on using heavier cardstock to at least glue the washi tape down with double sided tape as the cardstock bends in places “bubbling” the tape in areas. And no matter the type of paper used, the best glue is your glue gun ;O)
Thanks for visiting today, have a fabulously creative and safe week ;O)
