Eyelet Outlet Thursday!!!

Happy Eyelet Outlet Thursday Everyone!

Well I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I am sharing a fun project with you that is vintage Hollywood themed. For anyone who enjoys throwing Hollywood style dress up parties or Oscar/Golden Globe parties (that consist of trying to guess who’ll win what award and eating a ton of munchies that you know those celebrities only dream of lol!) I thought it would be fun to create vintage looking invitations.

These invites were a lot of fun with all the wrinkling, distressing and inking involved.

I also inked the film as it’s very white and looked better against the card this way. I added the mustache’s because too me Charlie Chaplin’s mustache was famous all on it’s own ;O)

This one was inspired by the old theatre signs that had the large individual bulbs surrounding the movie titles.

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed todays project and that it’s inspired you to create something of your own.

Have a safe and creative day Everyone :O)

Eyelet Outlet Thursday! You’re Invited to…

Happy Eyelet Outlet Thursday Everyone!

Today I’m back with some invitations for those fun and fancy get togethers! These glam & grungy invites are sure to get people excited about what else you’ve got planned for those parties!

On the first invite I decided  to give this lovely lady some jewelry. Personally I’m a fan of big jewelry (my hubby calls it gaudy lol!), so I used 3 different sizes to outfit her with a pearl necklace and matching ring and earrings. Because I used the pearls on her, I wanted to use pearls on the butterfly to give it some balance and just because ;O) After adding all the pearls I really wanted some sparkle to glam it up a little more. So I used my brown skinny washi tape. It was the perfect touch of glitter I was looking for. I layered the card with 3 sheets of card stock and decided to keep the edges clean on this one and used my corner punches to add a little more character.

For the second one I chose a mini invite for those of you who may want to go a little smaller in size but big on the bling ;O) I distressed the edges to give it a glam/grunge look.

For the third and final invite I used some more of the Brown – Pearl Strips & Cream – Swirl Bling to create the pretty flower center on the White – Paper Flowers and then cut one of the swirls in half so I could position it in 2 different directions underneath the flower. I distressed the edges on this one as well for a pretty/grunge look.

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed todays project and that it’s encouraged you to make one of your own.

Eyelet Outlet Thursday!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back to another Eyelet Outlet Thursday!! Today I’m sharing a card with you that’s Paris/Pink & Glitter inspired. I’ve also distressed it to add a little grunge ;O)

Even with the heavy distressing it’s still “girly” with the gorgeous white flowers and glitter embellishments.

I wanted these flowers full and luscious looking so I added a lot of layers. To make them really pop, I added the jewels.

I really wanted to add some glitter somehow so I put a strip of my silver glitter washi tape peaking out from behind the panel.

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed todays project and that it’s inspired you to create something of your own.

Have a safe and creative day Everyone :O)

For the inside of the card I cut the dp panels a little smaller to make more room for my message.

I like to decorate my home made envelopes as well.

Eyelet Outlet Thursday! “It’s Always Tea Time!”

Hello Everyone!

I’m back today with a card inspired by one of my favorite stories – Alice in Wonderland! I love the crazy bold colors and writing of the story – not to mention all the weirdness! This card is actually more of a fun invitation style card for those get together’s with our girlfriends for munchies, tea/coffee and lot’s of laughter. I’ve always loved having my girlfriends over for a bunch of laughs and good food & drink. I had my neighbor tell his wife, my husband & I once that the hardest time he’s ever laughed was an evening he could hear one of my many get togethers when getting home from work, so much so, that he lit a fire in his fire pit, grabbed a couple of beers and sat outside laughing until he cried. He said he learned 2 things that night 1) He hadn’t realized how women really talked and 2) I had great taste in music lol!!! My husband confessed at that moment that he hadn’t actually left with his buddy as I had thought, they remained in our driveway for nearly an hour looking at his friends new car and dying to know what was so funny that entire time lol!! What can I say – ladies know how to have fun ;O)

I used Eyelet Outlets awesome Tea Pot & Cup Brads for this card and matched my Gelatos to the colors of the brads. I knew my Tim Holtz Pocket Watches Embossing Folder was a perfect match with these brads.  And of course Wonderland is a crazy place so it actually make sense that tea pots & cups hang upside down as well ;O)

These brads are just too cute not to use inside as well and I wanted the tea & brads matching to keep the bright colors flowing throughout the card. So I used my Distress Inks for the tea :O)

Products Used:
* Tea Pot & Tea Cup Brads

* Tim Holtz – “Pocket Watches” Embossing Folder – Tea Dye, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves Ink Pads

* Faber-Castell Gelatos – Bubble Gum, Guava, Grape, Lavender, Blueberry, Cotton Candy

Other Supplies – Black & White Card Stock, White Gelly Roll Pen, Pigma Micron 03 Archival Ink Pen, Pop-Up Squares, Double Sided Tape

Well I hope you enjoyed todays project and that it’s inspired you to create something of your own.  Thanks for stopping by and have a safe & creative day Everyone :O)
