Gimme Some Candy!

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m sharing some Halloween treat boxes I made for Die-Cuttin Divas Halloween challenge this week. I got the treat box templates from SVG Cuts , the cutting file is called “Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Cuts”.

For the Tombstone box I used Echo Park’s “Chillingsworth Manor” by Casandra Cooper DP for the base and the reverse side for the panel. For the pumpkin I used BoBunny’s “Orange Citrus Vintage” DP and Core’dinations Black “Core essentials collection” DP for the web strip. The thread and rhinestone strips came from the bargain bin at Michael’s.  I brushed the edges of the base with Stampin Up’s Crumb Cake, the pumpkin and the panel with Tim Holtz “Spiced Mandarin” & “Mowed Lawn” Distress Inks.

For the Witch’s Hat I used core’dinations “Core Color” DP for the base, the reverse for the buckle and BoBunny Press DP (not sure the name) for the strip. I cut up some floral stems I had and with some old wool and witch embellishments I decorated the hat. I embossed the buckle with an old swirly CuttleBug embossing folder and edged the pieces with Tim Holtz “Seedless Preserves” & “Mowed Lawn” Distress Inks.

For the Boo treat box I used BoBunny’s “Orange Citrus Vintage” DP for the base & Boo lettering and “Spooktastic Strip” for the strip, for the web strip & Boo base lettering I used Core’dinations Black “Core essentials collection” DP. I edged the box and Boo lettering with Tim Holtz “Orange Citrus Vintage” Distress Ink and embellished the box with some glittery leaves from the bargain bin at Michael’s. The handle is a simple strip of wire from a Dollar Store spool and wrapped with the same wool I used for the Witch’s Hat.

Well I hope you enjoyed todays project and that you check out the Die-Cuttin Divas site for all the wonderful ideas and challenges they post each week.

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!!!

Have a safe and creative week Everyone :O)

  1. What fun projects to make and the recipients will totally love them, inside and out. I really love the black flowers on the witch’s hat. I think those are the kind that witches would love!

Thanks for being such an awesome guest designer for us at Die Cuttin’ Divas!
